Highland Self-Build Loans Available

Looking to build a home in the Highlands? Applications are now being accepted for a £4m loan fund, the Highland Self Build pilot.

This is operated by the Highlands Small Communities Housing Trust on behalf of the Scottish Government. The pilot is a two year initiative, which seeks to address potential market failure in the lending market towards self and custom build and to provide case studies for engagement with mainstream lenders. It will be available to anyone who wishes to build a home in the Highland Council area.

Loan funding up to £150,000 is available. The loan funding will be repaid upon completion of the project and confirmation of secured private lending by the applicant.
