Communications Officer

Part Time – 17.5 hours per week
Salary £32,000 (PTE £16,000 per annum)
Two year fixed term initially
Based in Kyle of Localsh or Remote

The Communications Officer will lead the development and delivery of effective communication strategies, supporting the organisation’s outreach and engagement efforts. They will manage content across multiple platforms, ensuring clear, consistent, and impactful messaging to members, stakeholders, and the wider public.

Are you passionate about crofting? Would you like to help the work of the SCF? If so, then we are currently keen to speak to anyone who might be interested in joining our board of directors, but would welcome interest particularly from crofters in Shetland, Lewis or Harris, those under the age of 50 and from women.  

The post is voluntary and unpaid but provides an excellent opportunity for you to contribute to the work the SCF does in promoting the rights, livelihoods and culture of crofters and their communities.
