NEW TEXT MESSAGE UPDATE SERVICE FOR FARMING COMMUNITIES
The Scottish Government today launched a new text alert service to help people on the move keep in touch with latest developments in the foot and mouth outbreak.
After registering, subscribers will then receive text alerts with information updates such as relaxation of movement restrictions.
The new service complements the Scottish Government's other channels for keeping the public informed – helpline, website, and email newsletter. NFUS also runs a range of support services.
