A unique cottage with a spectacular sea view, the Mangersta Steading nestles into the hillside above Mangersta Sands, looking across croft pastures to the Lewis and Harris hills and coastline.

Spectacular hikes begin at the doorstep. An original design and self build by crofter, Derek Scanlan, in vernacular materials, the single storey croft house rests gently within the fields of croft 5 Mangersta, next to our cattle shed. Our crofting activities change on a seasonal basis. There will be ewes lambing in neighbouring fields in spring, calves born is summer and cattle being fed in the barn in winter months. Sorry but no dogs in the steading.

The Mangersta Steading has a light filled contemporary interior. Designed for couples and/or solo travellers. There is one bedroom with a king size bed, a large walk in shower room, an open plan kitchen, dining, living room and a washer/dryer, plus 100Mb Satellite Broadband for remote working.
