SCF Members Meeting – National Development Plan for Crofting – What does it mean for you?

SCF is hosting a zoom meeting for members to take the opportunity to learn about the National Development Plan for Crofting and to raise questions with representatives from Scottish Government and the Crofting Commission.

Published earlier this year, the National Development Plan for Crofting sets out the Scottish Governments’ vision for crofting and how that will be achieved.

SCF welcomed its publication as a “working document” with SCF Chair, Donald MacKinnon, stating that:

“Crofting is coming into its time, a new era where the smaller, sustainable land unit once more has its place. We aim to see unused crofts becoming available again, and passed on to the younger generation, the creation of new crofts and the roll-out of crofting tenure across all of Scotland. This is not an unrealistic aspiration”

We hope you will be able to join us on Thursday 27th May at 7.00pm to find out more about what the plan means to you and to crofting and to put your questions to the panel. Please email ali@crofting.org to register for the link. If you would like any further information please email hq@crofting.org or call 01599 530005.
