Mar 7 Stornoway for the Outer Hebrides – Lews Castle College, Stornoway – 10:00 to 15:30
It is very important that the voice of employers is included in this review so that the Scottish Government hears if the current system is working for you at both a local and national level and, if not, what can be done to make it work better for you: what are the skills your employees need to do their job; what is the best way to deliver these skills; what information would you like to have access to with regard to qualifications, training provision, funding etc.?
I appreciate that this is short notice, but I urge anyone who can find the time to go along and feed into the review.
Please pass this along to colleagues, other businesses, members of groups that you sit on and any other employer who may have an interest in post-16 education and training.
If you can attend any of these events to have input from the employer’s perspective, please let me know as soon as possible, so that I can let the organisers know for catering purposes. I will also send the responses that have already been submitted by Lantra and by the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils to anyone who wants them, prior to attending a workshop.
