Crofters Warned of Fraudulent Marketing

Frank Gaskall, a former president of Euromontana, warned delegates at the SCF's Annual Gathering of unscrupulous companies fraudulently using brand images, suggesting their products come from mountainous areas. Crofting leaders say that the Scottish Government must heed this warning to protect authentic products from these areas.

Speaking at SCF's Annual Gathering in Grantown on Spey, Rosanna Cunningham told crofters that despite with drawing a requirement that houses built on former croft land be used as main residences, the government would continue to explore ways of keeping land affordable for those who which to take up crofting.
SCF Baffled by National Park’s Attitude to Crofting Reform

The Scottish Crofting Foundation have expressed their disappointment that the Cairngorm's National Park have chosen not to respond to the consultation process on the draft Crofting Reform Bill. At a Question and Answer session at the SCF's Annual Gathering, the convenor of the National Park, David Green, admitted that they had not responded due to "having to be selective about which consultations we respond to."
